Our weekly accident report for August 30th takes a look at four serious Queens car accidents that have made local headlines in the past week.

4 Injured When Vehicle Crashes Into Parked Cars In Queens

A white Chevrolet crashed into several parked cars in Queens in the early morning of Saturday, August 26th. At least one of the parked cars was seriously damaged in the incident.

The driver and all three passengers in the Chevrolet suffered serious injuries in the accident. They were brought to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, where one person was listed in critical condition and the three others in stable condition.

The accident is still under investigation.

At Least 2 Injured When SUV Crashes Into Queens Storefront

At least two people were injured when an SUV driver lost control of his vehicle, jumped over a curb, and crashed into a storefront in Queens on Monday, August 28th.

A female pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by the SUV. A man in a motorized scooter was sitting outside of a deli and nail salon when the vehicle jumped the curb and crashed into him. The pedestrian was sent to the hospital with serious injuries, and listed in stable condition.

The accident is currently being investigated by the NYPD.

7 Injuries In Queens Accident Involving Fire Truck, SUV

Seven people were hospitalized in Queens when a fire truck was involved in a chain-reaction accident. The fire truck was responding to a fire in Flushing and traveling through the intersection of Kissena Boulevard and Booth Memorial Ave with its sirens and lights turned on, when it crashed into a Lexus. The Lexus then crashed into a Mercedes.

The seven people injured were brought to two different hospitals in the area. One of those injured was a child, who has been listed in serious but stable condition. The other injuries were relatively minor.

Cab Collides With Other Vehicle And Flips Over In Queens

A green cab was reported for speeding near the intersection of 71st Ave and 108th Street in Queens on Friday, August 25th. The cab crashed into another vehicle and flipped over onto its roof, blocking the intersection.

The taxi driver received treatment for his injuries on site, and the other driver was able to walk away from the scene of the accident without any serious injuries.
