9 Passengers Injured In Queens MTA Bus Crash

Nine passengers were injured when an MTA bus crashed into a van in Queens on Monday, October 2nd. The accident occurred around 1:30 PM at the intersection of Merrick Boulevard and Liberty Avenue. A 4-year old child was one of those injured and carried away from the scene by a medic. All injuries were minor.

The driver of the van remained at the scene of the accident.

Motorcyclist Killed In Hit-And-Run Accident On Kosciuszko Bridge

An FDNY EMT died in a hit-and-run accident on the Kosciuszko Bridge in Queens on Saturday, September 30th. The EMT was riding a motorcycle eastbound on the bridge when he collided with a car attempting to change lanes. He lost control of his motorcycle and slid into the right lane.

Medics transported the man to Woodhull Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver did not remain at the scene of the accident, and the collision squad is currently investigating the accident.

2 Construction Workers Injured By Falling Scaffolding In Brooklyn

Two construction workers on a job site in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn were injured when parts of scaffolding collapsed on top of them on Thursday, September 28th. The incident happened around 9:15 AM at Lefferts Place.

The workers are employed by ABC Construction, a company based out of Queens. They were transported to Kings County Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The Department of Buildings is currently investigating the construction accident.

3 Pedestrians Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle Near Penn Station

Three pedestrians suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car outside of Penn Station in Midtown Manhattan on Friday, September 29th.

The accident happened near the intersection of 32nd Street and 7th Avenue. A stuck floormat in the vehicle caused the driver to accidentally run a red light and hit the pedestrians. 7th Avenue was temporarily closed down following the accident as dozens of firefighters responded to the scene.
